Yep, there's 3 babies in there!

Once again, Rich is making me post these pictures. So lets get it over with.

Here I am at 16 Weeks:

Again at 17 Weeks:

And finally at 18 Weeks:

Week 15 Checkup

Because I'm considered "high risk", I will continue regular visits to my doctor throughout the pregnancy. Usually that means that I go every 2 weeks for a check up and get ultrasounds once a month. Here are some pics from week 15. We continued to be amazed at how much they grow between check-ups! This time we also found out the gender of Baby C! The others weren't cooperating so we'll still be in suspense until week 20. All babies were growing normally and pregnancy was progressing fine. :)

Here is Baby A:

Here is Baby B:

And finally, Baby C...a BOY!!

Starting to show!

Rich is making me post these pictures. But it was the first time we noticed that I was showing.

This is me at week 13.

And this is me at week 14.

New Doctor

At 10 weeks, I was released from my fertility doctor to a new high risk OB/Perinatologist. He came highly recommended from my doctor and another person I know, so we felt very confident going to his practice. On our first visit, we got more pics to check on A,B,C and all were continuing to progress well. We really like our doctor too. He definitely is very experienced in dealing with triplets, and he has a great sense of humor too, which always helps. :) Here are some pics from week 10.

Week 9 Ultrasound

These are the pictures from our ultrasound at week 9. This time the ultrasound tech couldn't get all three on the same page, so she had to split the screen, and get two on one side, and the third on the other.

We got a great picture of Baby B. We call it "Baby B Fishing!". The baby was laying on its back, and was actually holding the umbilical cord, but it looks like it is leaning up against a tree holding a fishing pole. Too cute!

Week 8 Ultrasound

Here are the pictures from Week 8. It was amazing to us how much they had grown in just one more week. It was hard for the ultrasound tech to get them all in the same picture!

Here are their individual pictures.

Baby A:
Measurments:
     23 mm
     Heartrate is 181 bpm.

Baby B:
Measurments:
     20.5 mm
     Heartrate is 173 bpm

Baby C:
Measurments:19.5 mm
     Heartrate is 172 bpm.

Week 7 Ultrasound

One week later and the babies have more than doubled in size! Here are the pictures from this ultrasound.

This is also the first ultrasound that we got pictures of each of the babies individually.

Baby A:
Measurments:
     12.5 mm
     Heartrate is 152 bpm.

Baby B:
Measurments:
     12.1 mm
     Heartrate is 146 bpm

Baby C:
Measurments:
     11 mm
     Heartrate is 137 bpm.

Week 6 Ultrasound

One of the bonuses of being at a fertility clinic in the early stages of pregnancy is that I got to have ultrasounds every week. They truly spoiled us! Here is week 6. You can see they are a little bigger just from the previous week. Plus, we had the joy of seeing each of their little heartbeats!

Here are each of their measurements:

Baby A:
     3.2 mm long
     Heartbeat was 121 bpm

Baby B:
     3.4 mm long
     Heartbeat was 114 bpm

Baby C:
     3.1 mm long
     Heartbeat was 108 bpm

This is a graph of the heartbeat from Baby B. The upper left corner tells what the heartrate is.

The First Ultrasound Picture

After confirming my pregnancy, the next step was to go for an ultrasound. The doctor was suspicious that we were having twins due to my elevated hormone levels...but no one expected to see 3!! In fact, Rich was in quite a state of shock after the ultrasound tech counted 3 babies. So here they are at the very beginning, this was week 5.

Our Story

Wow, triplets… who would have thought! Certainly not us. After trying for just over 5 years to start a family, it was looking as if adoption may be our only option. However, God had different plans. These three babies are a testimony to God’s faithfulness, and are a long awaited answer to many, many prayers. Over the last five years we had many ups and downs, hopeful times, and times of utter sadness. But as we look back, we can see God was preparing us for a blessing that we never imaged possible. We are excited to see how this new chapter of our lives will unfold.

We are going to update this blog regularly to keep family and friends updated on our progress, share pictures, and celebrate these little miracles that we love so much already! So feel free to check back here often.

Also, if you have any questions, or want to hear more about our story, feel free to ask. We would love to tell you about what God has done in the last five years of our life. And hopefully this blog will serve as an encouragement to any others out there who are still waiting.
